Club Novice and intermediate level OC1 paddlers have recently not been able to get enough suitable coaching, so more SBCs are planned for the Fall with a preference to hire club members over outside professionals.  Instruction is basic but often scheduled in peak hours. Registration is handled by the office but instructors are responsible to handle late rescheduling notices for weather. Pay is negotiable but it will be around $60/90 minutes.

You don't have to be fast in OC1 to instruct but if you are then it saves you from having to use a coach boat. You do have to be mechanically sound, know why, and be able to communicate that. You should also like meeting new members, have some peak hour time slots available, and want to make a few bucks on the side.
