2011 Howe Sound Challenge

At 12 Noon, it was looking pretty flat ... and the racers were concerned ...

Luckily the race start was put back 30 minutes, due to delays shuttling cars to Squamish, and then, sure enough, the wind blew up and we had a nice downwind run.

Ben and Eric Fast came in first overall in a double Surfski with a time of 1:17:59.

Top solo Surfski was Shane Martin in 1:18:13, just 14 seconds ahead of Ken Stanick.

Laci Budos was the first OC1 paddler to cross the finish with a time of 1:22:30.

In total, 52 boats participated in the event.
