OC-1 SBC for Newer Paddlers

Kamini Jain would like to offer a new Small Boats Coached session on Monday nights:

• Feb 15 to March 15, 4 weeks (no session Feb 22)
• 6:00 - 7:15 PM

(note that the first night does overlap with the Olympics, so you will need to allow extra time & have a good route to Granville Island planned - see the transit and parking info here)

This session focuses on newer paddlers, but those that are already capable in OC-1 (guideline: 34-40 min 5 KM time trial).

The sessions will cost $40.   All participants must be Full Members of FCRCC.

You must already have the base-line skills of knowing how to put an OC-1 together, steer, and paddle comfortably without fear of falling in.  Please approach possible mentors in your own program to run you through this type of orientation, if needed.

If you are interested, please email Kamini asap and let her know your background, goals and time trial results if you have some.  She will send out lists and updates as soon as she has confirmed participant numbers.
