The Club has 9 Directors, each of whom fills a position on the Executive Committee, as follows:

  1. Commodore (President)
    • Provides leadership to achieve the Club's strategic goals
    • Chairs the Executive meetings
    • Liaises with key external stakeholders (such as CMHC), except FCCC
    • Signing officer
  2. Vice Commodore (Vice President)
    • Manages the paid staff
    • Liases with FCCC
    • Signing officer
  3. Treasurer
    • Has custody of the funds and securities of the Club
    • Keeps full and accurate accounts of all assets, liabilities, receipts and disbursements of the Club in the books belonging to the Club
    • Deposits all monies, securities and other valuable effects in the name and to the credit of the Club in such chartered bank or trust company, or, in the case of securities, in such registered dealer in securities as may be designated by the Executive from time to time
    • Disburses the funds of the Club as may be directed by proper authority taking proper vouchers for such disbursements
    • Renders to the Commodore and other Executives at the regular meeting of the Executive, or whenever they may require it, an accounting of all the transactions and a statement of the financial position, of the Club; and
    • Performs such other duties as may from time to time be directed by the Executive
  4. Secretary
    • Conducts the correspondence of the Club
    • Issues notices of meetings of the Club and Directors
    • Keeps minutes of all meetings of the Club and Directors
    • Has custody of all records and documents of the Club except those required to be kept by the Treasurer
    • Has custody of the common seal of the Club
    • Maintains the register of Members.
  5. Communications
    • Communicates information to the membership by email, web, or other means
    • Communicates with media regarding major Club events.
    • Manages content on the Club's web site
  6. Equipment
    • Chairs the Purchasing Committee, which provides advice on the sourcing of equipment to meet current and future needs for the disciplines
    • Manages the repair and maintenance of the fleet in coordination with the discipline representatives
  7. Dragon Boat
    • Reports on the status of the discipline and associated programs
    • Updates on regattas, races, fundraising
    • Communicates what is needed, wanted, etc., for the discipline
    • Updates the web site for Dragon Boat matters
    • Co-ordinates all related work projects – e.g., cleaning boats, etc.
  8. Flatwater (includes Kayak, Marathon, C1-2-4, War Canoe)
    • Reports on the status of the discipline and associated programs
    • Updates on regattas, races, fundraising
    • Communicates what is needed, wanted, etc. for the discipline
    • Updates the web site for Flatwater matters
    • Co-ordinates all related work projects – e.g., new fleet purchase/ replacement
  9. Outrigger
    • Reports on the status of the discipline and associated programs
    • Updates on regattas, races, fundraising
    • Communicates what is needed, wanted, etc. for the discipline
    • Updates the web site for Outrigger matters
    • Co-ordinates all related work projects – e.g., new fleet purchase/replacement, work parties, etc.
