False Creek Spring Knockout: Last team standing wins!
FCRCC is introducing a new format for local dragon boat racing: the knockout.
Teams will race two 200 metre heats to qualify for a "knockout division". In each knockout division, teams will race 200 metres and the bottom team(s) will be knocked out. The survivors will have 5 minutes to return to the start line and race again. The knockouts continue until there is only one team left.
All teams will race in open divisions and are guaranteed at least three races. Teams can enter additional crews for men's and women's knockout (no qualifying heats, limited to 8 crews each).
The Spring Knockout is a recognized Dragon Boat Canada Qualifying Event for crews seeking entry to the CCWC.
