PNWORCA Winter OC-1/2 Racing Series – Race #6
FCRCC is hosting a small boat race this coming weekend.
It's only 10 Km and it's usually a lot of fun ... we typically get 50 boats on the line!
FCRCC Members can book our OC-1s for use in the race, on the FCRCC website (here).
- Date/Time: Saturday, March 27, 2009, 11:00 AM
- Location: False Creek Outrigger Compound @ Burrard Marina, Vanier Park, Vancouver, BC Canada
- Race Description: Open to OC-1, OC-2 and Surfski. All paddlers will put in at Vanier Park, and the race will start and finish off the dock at the Coast Guard station.
- Course: Around the west shore of Stanley Park to the yellow QC marker off Siwash rock, then to a marker beyond Siwash Rock towards Lions Gate Bridge, and returning to the start the same way. The distance is approximately 10 Km.
You MUST have a PFD!
- Registration: Opens on race day at 9:30 AM, at the FCRCC Outrigger compund, Vanier Park
- Facilities: Washrooms in the Park are open in the day
- Entry Fees: $10.00 for each paddler (racers must have CORA membership, USACK membership or a day waiver)
